Down at Oaks Crossing there’s some real fine trails to ride
Got my YZ and my four-wheeler that river’s looking mighty fine
Kick the tires and light the fires all warmed up ready to roll
Tap on my shoulder game warden says you’ve got to go
This is a Texas riverbed you can’t ride your cycles here
Your public lands you can just watch them disappear
We passed a law back in 2004
You can’t ride down on this sandbar any more
We know what’s best for you be grateful to us
Another new law another freedom bites the dust
Well they outlawed cigarettes at all the local restaurants and bars
Now your smoking cigarettes and taking your lunch break outside in your car
Just because this country’s free that don’t mean you can make up your own mind
Well I don’t even smoke but I think it’s time to draw the line
We are you local city council you ain’t got no say so here
Your private property just watch it disappear
We passed a law back in 2005
We’ve got to keep all of you taxpayers alive
We know what’s best for you stop smokings a must
Another new law another freedom bites the dust
Well if I had my way I’d pass myself a new law
I’d say we don’t need no new law at all
I’d outlaw politicians and lawyers too
And high falutin people with their pompous attitude
Cause by the people of the people don’t include me and you
